About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

All Waiheke Unlimited cleaning duties.
You must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
The existing company standard and quality of work is to be upheld and maintained at all times, at all properties.
Manage and supervise all cleaning staff, draw up daily schedules, allocate duties, maintain attendance records, monitor daily progress as well as performance.
Ensure that the correct cleaning materials and cloth system is used at all properties at all times
Follow safe working practices when carrying out your required duties.
Ensure all instructions specified by the Manager are adhered to.
Report to management all completed tasks, forward any requirements / recommendation of improvement, report any issues with staff or of guest damage during stays.
Keep accurate records, of all cleaner duties, and submit to the office every Wednesday morning:
Start time
Finish time
Address or name of property cleaned
Date the work was completed
Name of Cleaner
Record of any damages done by the departed guest or cleaning staff
You will be required to:

Participate in on-going training when equipment or protocol changes occur
Instruct, educate and train staff to any changes in protocol or with equipment
Maintain a safe and healthy environment
Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Carry out work in a way that does not adversely affect your health and safety or the health and safety of other workers
Comply with procedures and correctly use personal protective equipment and safety devise provided
Contribute to hazard identification and management process
Report accurately and near misses/incidents/accidents in a timely manner
Participate in health and safety matters
Personal Development:

Fully contribute to the individuals team performance and be committed to identifying and pursuing opportunities for developing new knowledge and skills
Participate in the performance appraisal process where personal performance and development is reviewed
Willing to accept new responsibilities, acquire and demonstrate relevant new knowledge.

Skills and experience

2 years Housekeeping experience required. Candidate must be located /living on Waiheke Island. Candidate must have own transport as well as valid drivers license.
